Contributions from the Dallas Group were in two forms, sponsorship and fund raising.
- USD 2,880.00 was contributed by sponsors.
- USD 3,000.00 was collected from Fund Raising.
Currently we have 63 contributing members.
Encouraged by the whole-hearted support of forward looking and patriotic individuals, who have generously volunteered their time and donated their resources, our scholarship fundraising effort have achieved impressive successes.
So far, the Scholarship is awarded to 35 students, 5 from each High School, from the following seven Woredas ( Woreda is something equivalent to County in US.)
- Mehal Meda High School, Gera Keya Woreda
- Sela Dengay High School, Moja and Wodera Worda
- Debre Berhan High School, Debre Berhan Woreda
- Debre Sina High School, Tarma Ber Woreda
- Enewari High School, Moret and Jirru Woreda
- Arerti High School, Minjar and Shenkora Woreda
- Ankober High School, Ankober Woreda
Preparations are underway to include the followings for the upcoming school year.
- Molale High School, Mama Medir Woreda
- Alem Ketema High School, Merhabete Woreda
- Majete High School, Majete Woreda
- Ataye High School, Ataye Woreda
- Ginager High School, Hagere Mariam Woreda
The hope is that the graduates of these schools would make lasting contributions to our community, our region, and our nation by building successful careers, supporting their families, and changing their neighborhoods.
Based on this initial effort, we are planning to expand the project in other areas of Ethiopia
